The processes of the identity constructions are certainly among the currently most explosive social issues worldwide. In addition, in the current knowledge and information society – as never before - they are in a conflicting relationship between transnational and local forces, the conflict between "globalization" and "glocalization". This also applies to the European Union, which attempts to react with a policy of multilingualism and a decrease in the "deficit of communication and democracy". Broadly applied studies on social linguistics and analytical discourse show that there are no uniform opinions or policies on the question of multilingualism.
