Life Balance & Benefits
Flexible working schemes and teleworking make it easier for A1 employees to balance their family and work lives, and support programs are in place to ease the return to work of employees who have been on parental leave. In 2010, a total of 233 A1 employees, including 18 men, were on parental leave. Vipnet in Croatia and Mobiltel in Bulgaria support kindergartens or run their own company nurseries to help working parents. In 2010, Vip mobile became the first company in the Republic of Serbia to open a company nursery. In Austria, “flying nannies” look after employees’ children on school-free days. Under the motto “Is your Company Fit for Dads?” A1 organized a discussion event under the auspices of the Austrian Ministry for Women. In Bulgaria, Mobiltel set up the “Club Mama” platform for sharing information and ideas about improving the balance between work and family life.
