The Change of Media-Based Knowledge-Transfer in Modernity
- April 12, 2010, 7:00 p.m.
- Kurt Imhof: Research area Public Relations and Society (fög), Zürich University
The over 200-year-old history of modernity is unthinkable without the public and the knowledge transfer that takes place. The goal of the lecture is to outline this process of knowledge transfer, its social figures and attention structures. It will discuss the need of the "knowledge society" for media-based knowledge transfer, the various spheres of knowledge transfer with their social figures, and the change in the degree of rationality in what is communicated to the public.
In cooperation with the "Viennese Lectures"
