Diversity & Equal Opportunities
Diversity is our strength – and therefore, also our brand value. After all, we are at home in eight European countries and unite numerous ancestral nations under one roof.
Respect and fairness in dealing with one another are important to us: The Management Board of the Telekom Austria Group has made a voluntary commitment, not to tolerate discrimination in our group of companies to any extent. We take our Code of Conduct for the Group very seriously.
To give everyone the same opportunities we have special promotional programs. In Austria we give explicit support to female apprentices, girls from the first to the fourth year of apprenticeship. 48 young women expand their knowledge in three workshops per year. The girls' program comprises a mentoring system as well as a direct connection to the chairman of the Management Board, who takes part in a discussion with them in an afternoon workshop about their wishes, fears and expectations.
But that's not enough for us. The topic of diversity is on our agenda for the coming years. Our goal is to introduce a diversity management program based on our CSR management system. Training courses on the subject of diversity and intercultural collaboration are already offered by the TAG Business School with great success.
