CSR Structure

We incorporate CSR in all management levels. Three elements characterize our structure: the CSR awarding body, the CSR Board and the CSR team, which is active group-wide.



  • Hannes Ametsreiter, CEO of the Telekom Austria Group, both commissions CSR activities and is its patron, along with the CFO of the Group, Hans Tschuden. This is a clear signal for the priority of CSR.


  • Element 2 is our CSR Board, an advisory body with representatives from top management. The CSR Board meets once a year and makes principle strategic decisions to steer sustainability in the Group. Simultaneously the CSR Board members take responsibility for the sustainability in their respective departments.


  • The CSR team is composed of all the people responsible for CSR in the Telekom Austria Group. Each company in the Telekom Austria Group has assigned a staff member to be responsible for CSR, who takes over local implementation and plans unique regional CSR activities. The special feature of our CSR management lies in its regional responsibility: key aspects, topics and activities that play a major role locally are positioned beside group-wide strategy. The management of the CSR team is taken over by experts in the Group who are responsible for developing the CSR annual program, for contextual focus and evaluation of various program points.

The CSR structure in the Telekom Austria Group was established in 2010 and so far has proved to be very effective. By connecting CSR to the Management Board and senior management, CSR can be incorporated into the corporate strategy. The structure across the entire group and into the local unit guarantees seamless implementation of CSR activities.
