CSR Strategy & Goals

We tie our CSR energy to what we can do well: develop innovations that create enthusiasm and enable growth – with the highest quality.
We differentiate between CSR goals of the whole group and CSR goals set by the core team.

CSR Goals of the Telekom Austria Group 2011

  • Local implementation of the CSR structure at all companies of the Telekom Austria Group and at least one local Management Board meeting by Dec. 31, 2011
  • Broaden the group-wide compliance organization
  • Group-wide implementation and training of the stricter compliance policies by Dec. 31, 2011
  • Carry out a structured, groupwide compliance risk assessment


Environmental- and Climateprotection Goals 2011

  • Expand and further develop innovative, environmentally-friendly information and communications technologies (ICT)
  • Embed environmental management structures more deeply into the Telekom Austria Group companies by December 2013
  • Continue internal and external information campaigns to strengthen communication of environmental and climate protection goals
  • Increase energy efficiency at A1 equipment rooms and data centers by 10% by December 2012
  • Increase energy efficiency at A1 base stations by 5 % by December 2012
  • Develop at least one “green mobile phone app” at Si.mobil to encourage consumers to use their handsets more energyefficiently
  • Share best practices for the use of alternative sources of energy within the Telekom Austria Group by June 2012
  • Reduce CO2 emissions generated by business trips, the company’s vehicle fleet and the field service of A1 customer service for a total saving of 3,000 tons by December 2012


Human Ressource Goals 2011

  • Increase the proportion of women in all Telekom Austria Group companies to 35% by 2015
  • Intensify know-how transfer within the Telekom Austria Group through the Telekom Austria Group Business School
  • Promote career opportunities within the Group
  • Continue establishing employee feedback instruments within the Group


Product and Service Goals 2011

  • Intensify development of e-health products for the health and nursing sectors
  • Offer convergent products and services from a single source
  • Further develop individual service concepts


Information Security and Data Protection Goals 2011

  • Create a central point of contact at A1 for data protection enquiries by the end of 2012
  • Continue to promote and initiate projects that help children and young people use digital media safely


Social Engagement Goals 2011

  • Adapt and roll out a sponsorship master plan and hospitality guidelines
  • Promote media literacy skills: Implementation of the Austriawide social and educational initiative “A1 Internet for All” in autumn 2011
  • Help children, young people and senior citizens make proficient use of the Internet




CSR Goals of the Core Team:

One goal of the CSR core team is to assure the enthusiasm and understanding for CSR internally. Within the scope of the TAG Business School CSR content is a component of various courses. Lectures by external experts for all the employees and internal campaigns are intended to raise awareness and enthusiasm for CSR.

Second goal of the CSR team is to sustainably strengthen and activate the established CSR structure. Through a CSR Board meeting, through planned four CSR team meetings and by implementing local CSR structure in the individual companies of our group.

The third goal of the CSR team is to ensure transparent and high-quality sustainability reporting. In the past we received recognition and numerous awards for our sustainability reports.
