Over 50,000 Customers Use the Mobile Broadband Add-On Option for Fixed Net Broadband
Vienna, September 9, 2009: The Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY) today announced that its Fixed net subsidiary registers over 50,000 aonFlex customers, a mobile broadband add-on option for its fixed net broadband customers. With aonFlex customers can combine their existing fixed net broadband subscription from Telekom Austria with mobile broadband via a laptop data card for an additional monthly flat rate of EUR 7.90.
Statistical data shows that 80% of mobile broadband usage takes place at home. Hence, as soon as the customers are in the coverage area of their WLAN with their laptop, a high-speed Internet connection is automatically and seamlessly activated upon confirmation. On the go the customers enjoy the freedom of mobile Internet.
With this unique product bundle in Austria offered by Telekom Austria combining Internet surfing at home and on the go, customers can reap the benefits of both fixed and mobile technologies
