Telekom Austria AG Cancels 17 Million Treasury Shares
Vienna, August 31, 2009: The Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY) announced that based on the authorization of the Annual General Meeting held on May 20, 2009 and the resolution of the Management Board on August 19, 2009, 17 million treasury shares or 3.7% of the share capital of Telekom Austria AG has been cancelled as of August 24, 2009. The number of shares has been reduced to 443 million shares, which corresponds to a common stock of EUR 966,183,000.
