Peter Zydek Appointed CFO of Vip Operator and Matthias Stieber Head of Investor Relations of Telekom Austria
Vienna, May 11, 2010: As of June 1, 2010 Peter Zydek will become the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Macedonian mobile provider Vip operator, a subsidiary of the Telekom Austria Group, and will be responsible for managing the company’s financial affairs.
Peter Zydek (36 years old) has held a number of positions within the Telekom Austria Group since he joined the company in 1998. He worked on the privatization of the company and supported the company’s IPO on both the Vienna and the New York Stock Exchanges. In 2005, Peter Zydek was appointed Head of Investor Relations with overall responsibility for the Telekom Austria Group’s financial communications. Peter Zydek holds a degree in economy from the Vienna University of Economics and an MBA in International Strategic Management.
Matthias Stieber (33 years old) will succeed Peter Zydek as the Head of Investor Relations. Before joining the Telekom Austria Group, Matthias Stieber was Director of Origination & Structuring at Raiffeisen Zentralbank responsible for capital market transactions for Eastern-European corporates. Prior to this position, he worked as Director of Corporate Origination at ABN AMRO in London with focus on German -speaking countries, where he gained extensive experience in the field of international capital market transactions. Matthias Stieber holds a degree in Investment & Financial Risk Management from the Cass Business School in London.
