* in % of net income
The dividends of Austrian publicly limited companies are generally subjected to a withholding tax deduction (KESt) of 25%.
For natural persons, income tax and possible inheritance tax (for shareholdings under 1% of the nominal capital) are compensated by the withholding tax. Principly, only in case of gifts is there an additional gift tax liability.
The price gain from securities within the legally determined speculative period of one year is subject to income tax. If you sell your TKA stocks again within one year after purchasing them, the price gain must be declared in your income tax statement. If the stocks are sold later on, the profits are tax-free.
